COLONEL WEATHERFORD'S YOUNG ENTRY by Gordon Grand

COLONEL WEATHERFORD'S YOUNG ENTRY

By

Publisher: Derrydale

No Hunting story could be better than The Silver Horn so I'm glad Gordon Grand has gone to Rat-Hunting. It's a stroke of genius. Colonel Weatherford's two nephews and niece, his sister. Tabitha, who hates sport and dresses in black, and Eddie Walsh, the groom, provide the human element while a pack of terriers and the best rats the docks of London could produce provide the sport. The children learn to hunt, box, fish and enjoy themselves so effectively than even Miss Weatherford blossoms forth arrayed in blue (a vision of loveliness) to give sugar to the ponies, watch the drag and by the fifth volume I'll wager she'll be riding to hounds with Master John, the most appealing character introduced so far.
