KIRKUS REVIEW

Rentals, of sorts, a bit on the old-fashioned side, platitudinous in handling. A father-and-son saga, in which Dad seems old and dull as Stan drifts into a fast, wild set that Dad does not appreciate. Then Stan gets kicked out of college, goes to work on Dad's paper, and finally experiences disillusion at the hands of his sophisticated friends. Roles shift -- and he and Dad rediscover each other.
