RUN SHEEP RUN

An extravaganza of the tropics which is no new South Wind but which does produce a faint echo of that book. For San Pedro is the refuge of assorted misfits -- Mrs. Macy who has to face the realization that Lesbianism is for her, the Greenfeathers and their peripatetic menage, the Newbegins and the Egans, exiled forever, homosexual Willie and nymphomaniac Mrs. Richter -- and others domiciled in a West Indies hill town, shameless in their escapism, impotent in their self destruction. A costume party brings about the eruption of the emotional volcano, with murder a grim reality all must admit. Somewhat postured, cynical but often amusing, this is not an innocent tea party of migratory misfits.
