KIRKUS REVIEW

Let's accept the publisher's contention that adults are sure to think this and its companion volume (below) are incomprehensible in their appeal, but that the babies love them. There's a clear attractive simplicity and directness to the four color pictures; there's recognition of very first picture book quality in use of such recognizable qualities as size (big and little)- pictorial quality (striped and spotted)- resemblances (thin and fat) and ending with sound (). Cardboard books- somewhat softer stock than previously; plastic binding.
