KIRKUS REVIEW

Twenty-four one-act, royalty-free plays for young people suitable for holiday assembly and classroom entertainments. Plays about Lincoln, Washington, Nathan Hale, Columbus, the pilgrims; plays commemorating Armistice Day, Memorial Day and Christmas, as well as some light hearted dramas for Easter and St. Patrick's Day. The quality of construction is high, and the messages are not so lofty as to be out of sight for young people. Some effective devices, here, sound dramatic progression with no special effects necessary. Top quality to fill an urgent need for schools and social groups.
