FIFTY CHILDREN'S SERMONS

Preaching is a difficult art, and preaching to children the most difficult part of it. Just any old story with an obvious moral won't do for today's children. So Graham R. Hodges, pastor of Emmanuel Congregational Church, Watertown, New York, gives us this admirable collection of fifty sermons for children with fresh material and a method of presentation which avoids the banal and too obvious application, and speaks in words which are neither too cute nor too sweet. Moreover, they are not aimed at adults over the heads of their children. They are children's sermons for those about eight years of age or a little elder. All Protestant ministers, and those who conduct children's services will find this little collection a Godsend.
