OBJECT LESSONS FOR CHILDREN'S SERMONS

What to tell the children which will capture their attention, stimulate their imagination, and teach a needed truth? Every pastor is faced with this situation almost weekly. Here is almost a year's supply (42) of object sermons designed for that purpose, and using such common objects as an ice cube, a seashell, weeds, seeds, a cracked cup, etc. The author, Graham R. Hodges, pastor of Emmanuel Congregational Church, Watertown, N. Y. writes directly out of his own experience, and his success in ministry to children, and so makes a friend of other ministers and teachers to whom this sort of thing doesn't come so naturally. He does it well, relating both to the Bible and the child.
