ONE LITTLE INDIAN

This is a sprightly enough story of a Navajo Indian boy for primary readers and those in the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten group. Ah-di's mother promises him a surprise on his fourth birthday. Ad-di's hunt for his surprise brings him something he wanted very much, as well as presents from his relatives. This is a simple story, and the four year old hero may not appeal to the sophisticate in the first or second grad. However, the writing is not dull and blessedly free of whimsey.
