A verbal and pictorial Grand Tour of Europe outside of the Iron Curtain, variously described as a traveler's hors d'oeuvre and/or awakener of memories,- sports a perky text and 250 gravures. The British Isles, the Netherlands, Northern, Central and Southern Europe, and the Balkans are described country by country, with cities and sites pointed out to the tune of history and poetry. Unfortunately, at this reading the illustrations were not available, but from the catalogue one is assured of their excellence. Altogether a very nice book to have.
