GRIMM'S TALES

This new edition of the fairy tales includes many of the tried and true favorites as well as the less familiar ones. ""Snow White"" and ""Rumplestiltskin"" are among the well knowns; ""The Little Fawn"" and ""Four Clever Brothers"" are among the others- and for the art work Madeleine Gekiere and Helen Sewell have done new sets of pictures in rather striking red, black and blue. Their work in combination is an imposing contrast between airy lightness and stony heaviness that may please more impressionable parents than literal minded youngsters, but it creates a mood of fantasy for the book.
