Everyone who ""discovered"" Northern Summer for himself felt it a rare treat. This has the same charm and quiet humor. From Spring to Christmas -- with the new home and the problems it entailed; the storms; the hunting and fishing; the doings of the family, now consisting of six children, the awakening awareness of the baby and the developing personalities of the other children. A difficult book to describe, but a sure sale to all who read its predecessor, and a double sale for others.
