THE HORSE IN THE HOTEL

This German import follows the misadventures of one Stefan, a stableboy. He works for a brewery during the school holidays. The whimsical head of the concern hands him two tickets entitling two guests to two weeks at the Starfish Spa. Stefan elects to take along as his vacation companion, Miranda, a Clydesdale brewery horse. The action takes place in the Victorian splendor of a very proper seaside resort, and the nonsense is as heavy on the hoof as Miranda. The mystery angle comes from the perennial hotel problem of pilfering which is investigated by Stefan and the hotel keeper's daughter with assists from Miranda. Characters in caricature and mystery in solution.
