THE ADVENTURES OF BARON MUNCHAUSEN

Quite honestly, Baron Munchausen was a semi-mythical figure to me until this new edition, with its humorous and original illustrations persuaded me to road more than the few carefully selected episodes with which -- up to new -- I've been familiar. And I confess to finding the Baron highly entertaining, as --with straight face, figuratively speaking, he recounts, in minute detail, adventures that out -- Ripley Ripley. Bits here and there struck a familiar chord of memory; for the most part the stories were fresh and good reading. This edition should serve to give him new life.
