KIRKUS REVIEW

That old walrus tangling with the Japs -- as he is captured while trying to appropriate his favorite Duggan's Dew. Disguised as a British Admiral (to allow the true one to escape) Glencannon makes a strange prisoner, is forced to play ball at the insistence of a young American Commander, helps to sabotage Jap repair efforts, has the Jap code tattooed on his chest, and escapes with the American to bring information to the Allies that a Jap island repair base can be destroyed. The American enlists Glencannon on the suicidal assignment -- and against Glencannon's better judgment the plan goes through. SEP serialization... with Mr. G. hard put to find drinkables, and blusterier than ever as a result. Ranking foolery.
