A shrewd, technically agile mystery in which Miss Pink vacations in an isolated, faintly feudalistic outpost of northern Scotland, where two climbers are murdered on a crag one hundred feet above a sea of killer whales. Gwen Moffat assembles a likable passel of suspects, each neatly pinned with a motive for doing in the brash and unscrupulous--albeit skilled and famed--climber who had big plans for this little untrammeled Eden of smashing scenery and gentle lives. Many rope-and-piton particulars and all very much in the Pink.
