Publisher: Macmillan

A compendium of man's ingenuity at sea is an excellent description of this book, for the gadget it doesn't suggest just isn't needed. For years man has devised various things to make life at sea smoother. Yachts, cat-boats and canoes each year have sported new refinements, things other boat owners wanted on their boat, too. Well, here they are -- enough to sink an ocean liner if you get too ambitious and try them all for they vary from ways to keep a dry seat on a wet deck to wiring systems that illuminate the ice box or what-have-you. With the season upon us this is the moment to launch your new Calahan, play up the washable covers and the hundred and one improvements they can make on their boat and the valuable hints it will give them to add to their comfort.
