A book designed for the school market, as the first of a series planned to aid the effort to deal with intercultural and interracial tensions at their base--in schools. This first volume expands the four main problems,--enemy aliens, religious antagonisms, race, and socio-economic differentiations--all intensified by the war conditions. This is virtually a manual of theories and what is to be done about it and how to go about it. The authors feel the need in schools to formulate a democratic philosophy, and they suggest objectives and techniques for handling the problem.
