KIRKUS REVIEW

Expert of the babbling expletive, Reggie Fortune is confronted with a nasty case and nasty men. The body of a missing secretary, head as well as clothesless is instrumental in disclosing the battle over a watershed potential, the possibility of rasing a town, the conflicts within the Kemp family, personal and concerning their quarry, and the suspicious connection of a young couple with the whole case. C.I.D. Lomas tails Reggie, who telegraphically elliptical, forces a solution.
