KIRKUS REVIEW

Subtitled The and Proper Care of the Middle Aged, this is outspoken for all those in the Forgotten Bracket (pediatrics and have not lacked counselling and have left a large hole in the middle for which mediatrics is the answer) and the English accent does not detract from the fun (and wisdom) of the help offered. Preventive in its approach, this warns against being a bore (and how to recognize the symptoms), argues for a continued non-adjustment to young peoples (Nephobia) with anti youth clubs, advises on relaxation and hobbies, notes, precautions against """" that upset, takes the reader to ""The Threshold"" or learning to be a nice old man. The distresses and difficulties that disturb those in the 40-50 group are analyzed with the aim that they may be overcome before lack of attention results in dread consequences (retarded or advanced maturity). Ellis has made a real contribution to a new and the crackle of this treatment will attract and delight this definite age group.
