Harper's Library of Constructive Theology has a long line of distinguished contributors, but there is none who shows greater promise than Professor H. H. Farmer, recently appointed to the Chair of Systematic Theology, Westminster College, Cambridge, England. This is a subject that has needed doing and it is clearly and succinctly treated. Prayer, providence and miracle, as Christian experience, are the subjects he starts on but the book is packed with illuminating and provocative thoughts. It is the work of a scholar, a Theologian with a rare gift of imparting his knowledge so easily and naturally that many laymen could profit and well enjoy reading this book. Clergy of all denominations will be interested in this work, so be sure you show it to those who don't know either the series or the author through previous books.
