KIRKUS REVIEW

An all-encompassing survey of the range of the limerick, with an introduction, which also includes instructions as to the technical limits and requirements of this form of versification, this offers a wide variety of subjects for this type of impudent nonsense- ALL CLEAN. The subjects, insofar as organization can go with this rigid form-take in food and drink, matrimony, zoological, artistic, travel, dress, science, friendship, and others, and there is a balance of old familiars (to which practitioners of the limerick in its more vulgar form may interpolate) and fresher, even more topical inclusions, to make the hobbyist in this field accept this collection with pleasure.
