FOR THE HEALING OF THE NATIONS

A spotlight review of Christianity at work in the Far East. For stark honesty, keen perception and clear analysis, Van Dusen has no peer. He confessed to knowing little of the field of missions at first hand and was afraid he would not find them worthwhile, so it is fortunate for them that the result was quite otherwise and is reflected in his enthusiastic appraisal, when such a man uses superlatives, tells us that the work in foreign fields is a challenge to hoso at home, feels that missions are not only worthwhile but vital and essential ""for the healing of nations"" -- it is news. He and his wife visited the Pacific Islands, New Zealand, Australia, Korea, Japan, China, Slam, India, etc., taking six months' to reach the Madras Conference in 19, and studying the foreign mission field in the interval. This is the perfect supplement to any mission study reading program, and is a good buy at the low price of $1.00
