LITTLE BRUIN by Haaken Christensen

Email this review

A Norwegian picture story book, with a vocabulary that should not have too many sticklers for the second year readers. Brown and white pictures by the author on every page, and a simple text follow the activities of the bear family when they awaken too soon from their winter's sleep, only to find that they are in for an ice and snow storm. It is Little Bruin who has the bright ideas, suggesting the cabin as a shelter, finding beds to sleep in, getting breakfast. It almost seems to suggest tables turned on the Goldilocks' theme.
