KIRKUS REVIEW

A pell-mell (and apparently unproofread) recap of 1975's Daytona 500, in which profiles of the leading drivers--Richard Petty, Cale Yarborough, Buddy Baker--alternate with the laps. Like Higdon's Six Seconds to Glory, on drag racing, this is passably revealing reportage in an ephemeral vehicle.
