An excellent and very important reference book and general survey, country by country, of the passing show, as it were, since 1919. Not a book for casual reading, but a book that anyone interested in current history will find supplies very frequently needed data on facts, rather than theories, on incidents rather than personalities. The scope offered by the subject would make an encyclopedia inadequate, so the author has wisely handled his materially concisely, topically, and with no attempt at prophecy, theory or philosophy. Call to attention of customers interested in acquiring a thorough background of facts, rather than to those interested in dramatic presentation of controversial material.
