KIRKUS REVIEW

Mac -- mostly Mac, and Jeremiah X. Gibson of the D.A.'s office -- a time-tested collaboration by now, work on the appeal, later rescinded, of a man called Henderson who seems spooked by whatever situation he's in before the child of his partner is kidnapped and he's found, shot down, with the ransom money in his hands. Stone, as always, tells a tight, lively story out of the side of his hard mouth and if you enjoyed him once, you will again.
