WHERE'S YOUR BABY BROTHER, BECKY BUNTING?

An ostensibly wry tale about a little girl who, disgusted (quite reasonably) at the fuss her parents are making over her baby brother, trades him to another girl in the park for a bike. After the predictable commotion (and an inexplicable reconciliation), comes the message; ""Don't trade your little brother or your little sister for anything. You will have nothing but trouble, and they always come back in the end."" The illustrations are Harriet-Pincus imitations by an artist whose heart obviously wasn't in it (betimes, her caricatured people look Jane-Warner-Watson bland). Overdone and off-key.
