VAMPIRE

Another stab at a new Dracula in the story of a German, enmeshed in German propaganda dispersal through the United States and Mexico during the war. He does not recognize in himself his thirst for the blood of women, and only his mistress, Lotte, understands him and finds a way to cure him, at cost of her own life. Astrology -- mysticism -- erotica --all involved in an unpleasant and unconvincing horror story that doesn't succeed in coming off. The popularity of The Sorcerer's Apprentice may insure this a market. Werewolf of Paris readers.
