LANDS OF NEW WORLD NEIGHBORS

Useful for readers with an appetite for streamlined popularized history, for High School and public libraries. Outline history of the Western Hemisphere, from lasks and Hawaii, through North and South America, to the Falkland Islands. Skims along in brisk, lively style, superficial of course. Time span- from primitives to les Dam, with emphasis on exploration and colonial period. There are faults of proportion, probably due to prior use as broadcast script. Chapters on Greenland, inldad and West Indies are particularly timely. Very sketchy treatment of certain South American countries.
