THE TUMBLE BUG And Other Tales

By

Pub Date: Sept. 26th, 1940
Publisher: Harcourt, Brace

This is a companion volume to It's Perfectly True, and includes eight some what less familiar stories from Andersen, translated from the Danish by Paul Leyssac, himself a Dane. In addition to the title story, it includes The Snow Man, The Traveling Companion, The Old Man's Always Right, Little Ida's Flowers, The Bell, Five Peas From One Pod, Twelve By Mail Coach. A fine piece of book making, with stunning sil-houette decorations by Bertha List, and skillful use of color block.
