THE SNOW QUEEN

The story of Kay and Gerda was always one of my favorites, and here is the perfect form in which it should be presented. I loved it even in its drab old-fashioned guise of my first and only beloved Andersen. Now here is the story broken into chapters, each with an exquisite decorative running head, and each with its own full page illustrations in color, by George and Doris Hauman. The outside of the book is a bit staid and adult in appearance, but the inside is just right.
