Another grand picture book by the author-artist of the feted Pitschi (it won awards from both the A.L.A. and the A.I.G.A. last year) tells a further episode in the lives of old Lisette and her animals. Brimful of festive activity as Lisette's birthday is imminent, the animals prepare a feast in her Swiss mountain hut. It turns out to be the happiest of occasions. The pat text and flossily stylized colored pictures add a double portion of humor to the celebration. Medium type.
