WE CAN DO BUSINESS WITH RUSSIA

By

Publisher: Ziff-Davis

Eric Johnston sets the key:- ""We can do business with Russia and Russia can do business with us!"" Hans Heymann, one time economic advisor to the foreign office of the Welmar Republic, writes authoritatively from first hand knowledge of the scope of Russian business in the past, and belief in the future. It is illuminating to see on what a grand scale such business existed before World War II and Lend Lease. Here is a resume of the American engineers and industrialists and American enterprises -- evidence of faith in Russia's ability to produce and to pay. Their confidence goes far to offset the anti-Russian propaganda, political and economic. The Dnieper Dam, the steel mills, the coal mines, the canals, etc. before the war are proof that greater industrial development lies ahead. They need what this country can offer. Johnston, Nelson, Batt, Averill, Harriman, Wendell Willkie, Henry Wallace, and Franklin Roosevelt all had that faith, and the facts Dr. Heymann puts forward convince the open-minded reader. He offers facts, figures, data on banking relations with the Soviet, on Russian economy of production for use, and he concludes with a five year program, realistic and challenging. Not a book to be pushed aside, but one to be studied by American Industrialists, economists and business men, as well as American politicans.
