An accordion book without words illustrating a parade of animals from famous folk and fairy tales. The stories illustrated are: Puss in Boots; The Travelling Musicians; The Good-for-Nothing; King Easter Rabbit; The Death of the Rooster, The Seven Ravens; and The Frog King and His Merry Acrobats. The end page gives a thumbnail recap of the stories illustrated. (A translation from the German, some of these are better known under their variant titles.) The illustrator's deft black and white strokes are touched over with bright colors. His animal processions have gaiety, even the rooster's funeral. Folded, the size is 12 3/4 x 5 3/4. It's on sturdy board and makes a decorative prop for the Children's Room.
