I FLEW WITH THE BIRDS

An airman's view of bird flight, observed at their level, written by an ornithologist who is also a test pilot. He has over the years taken notes on speed of bird flight, on the habits of birds of prey, on the use made of air currents, on migration, on wing motion, on night flight, on flying for fun. His story is told anecdotally, as he records specific flights with much of flying- and things seen and felt- as well as his observations of birds in flight.
