DR. HIP'S NATURAL FOOD AND UNNATURAL ACTS

What a long way we've come baby when Dr. Schoenfeld (Dear Doctor Hip Pocrates, 1969) can syndicate his question-answer column in family newspapers and nothing's considered unprintable -- whether it's his advice on how to give head or a discussion of why there should be centers for analyzing street drugs. Nothing but politics, that is, which has gotten him in the soup and made him decide to quit the dailies. But his editors were right (Maybe for the wrong reasons, true): Dr. Schoenfeld writing about the Indians on Alcatraz, old-age homes, etc., is downright boring. When he socks with what he does best, though. . .well, where else are we to find out about such things as, say, a cyclopropane high and why it's dangerous, or that Wheaties are just as nutritious as granola, or what to do about monkeybites (the other kind), or how to keep a tight scrotum. Not from the tittering Dr. Reuben.
