THE REAL BOOK ABOUT RIVERS by Harold Coy

THE REAL BOOK ABOUT RIVERS

By

Publisher: Garden City

Four sections- rivers as they shape the earth; America's river resources; ""profiles"" of some famous foreign rivers; harnessing rivers for power- divide a sensibly informative book about this particular part of the earth's waters. Water's source, erosion, irrigation, trade and communication and a preview of power are treated first and then enlarged on and referred to in the subsequent more specialized chapters. Informal narration holds the interest and as a book on rivers alone this might be read along with Rocks, Rivers and the Changing Earth by Herman and Nina Schneider.
