These are essentially Lenten devotional meditations and as such were published serially in the Detroit Free Press, for the author is rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in that city. Each meditation deals with one of the personalities concerned with the crucifixion of the Christ either by contributing to it or by standing by the Crucified. Judas, Peter, Herod, Pilate, Joseph of Arimathea, Cleophas, Disman the thief, the Centurion and John the Beloved Disciple are mong those dealt with. Good material for devotional use at all seasons.
