NEWMAN'S EUROPEAN TRAVEL GUIDE by Harold Newman

NEWMAN'S EUROPEAN TRAVEL GUIDE

By

Publisher: Henry Holt

Twelve Western European countries, including Austria in part, are succinctly charted for today's budget minded traveler, in a one volume guide intended to ""save time, help the budget, minimize annoyance and increase enjoyment"". There is nothing particularly original in the approach or coverage, but the fact that the data is up to date, post-war travel information, makes it a useful investment for the prospective traveler who wants to know, country by country, the frontier requirements, currency, transportation, hotels and restaurants, what to eat and drink, what to buy and where, and the high spots of cultural and scenic interest. It is sort of a check list rather than the source of historical and biographical information. The arrangement is planned as though for a motor trip, and the book should serve as a useful handy guide.
