Dunk was a first class rebel. A good athlete, he would have nothing to do with competitive, interschool sports; his only aspiration was to be champion doughnut dunker; he snorted at talk of school spirit. In a series of stories, his conversion takes place, and in baseball, football, tennis etc. he becomes the mainstay of his school.
