This is a natural. A vast number of Americans are today facing the imperative necessity of getting every bit of value out of every ounce of rubber, every gallon of gas, as well as out of cars that, in ordinary times, would have been turned in. Here is a book for every one of them. Even I (who am paralyzed at the thought of having to understand machinery) found this enlightening, easy to understand, constructive. Contains the hows and whys of a car, its care, the reasons for poor performance, clues to trouble, dangers of abuse, how to read instructions, how to behave in a garage (and do they rip the Readers' Digest article apart!), points in good driving, how to choose a used car -- and futures.
