KIRKUS REVIEW

Authentic Daddy-Long-Legs sort of thing in letters from an orphan asylum, written by a ten-year-old to her father, with a naive account of a child's ups and downs in adjusting herself to regimented life, with rebellion at rules, the treatment they received, her loves and hates, playing in the band, sprucing up for visitors and rejoicing in her father's visits.
