ARGOES

Large, clear photographs of dockside machinery working on a variety of cargoes are sure to catch the attention of young readers. This is an excellent companion volume to California Harbors and the author's approach is the same. Charts listing the exports and imports of the nation's big ports are a special feature and a double page spread diagraming the interior storage arrangements of a typical freighter should prove helpful in transportation units. The text has been kept elementary and the equipment is pictured at work. It has the same irresistible pull that sidewalk superintending holds with the benefit of complete information.
