SUZETTE'S FAMILY

I liked The Red Canoe last year. I like this even better. Miss Evatt has a faculty for making her situations, characters and backgrounds come alive. This is a story of French-Canadian habitants, of a very wholesomely normal little girl who often rebelled at discipline and duties, but who showed her mettle when the little blind girl from Scotland came as a war evacuee to the rectory. A good Christmas story, with a happy ending.
