TERRY

Reginald Kirkland, a New England minister who has almost lived down the fears and errors of his post, is confronted with the skeleton in his cupboard when his sister reveals -- on her death bed -- the fact that her adopted daughter, Terry, is his illegitimate child. Terry doesn't help matters on her return to the scene, and it takes young Doctor Morton to keep Terry on an even keel, and to awaken Kirkland to his own cowardice, selfishness and pettiness. The story -- on most counts -- seems dated and beside the point.
