Good listening and good reading is always true of Fosdick fare, but these sermons have the additional appeal of being on such vital, modern problems as puzzle all of us today. The war, injustice and sin on one hand and the Kingdom of God on the other -- for Dr. Fosdick, as a Christian pacifist, sees these two as unalterably opposed. There are so many Fosdick fans who buy everything he writes, that every shop should keep a list of purchasers. He is, of course, a public library ""must""; a ""should"" for school and college libraries -- and don't forget the camp libraries now. However remember that he comes out flatly against America's participation in this war -- so this will be dynamite and split his public into two rabid camps.
