SPECIFICALLY TO YOUTH

In this collection of sermons preached to college students, the Reverend Harry H. Kruener, Dean of the chapel of Denison University, proves that he has the knack of speaking specifically to youth. It is not, he says, that there is a Gospel addressed solely to youth, and the best preacher to youth is he who consistently forgets how young they are. But there is a language and idiom which speaks immediately to the condition of being twenty, rather than fifty, and the skillful use of this language makes these sermons good reading to young and not so young alike. Dr. Kruener's sermons interpret the Christian faith, and bring it home to his hearers (and readers) with force and persuasion. Any preacher may well envy his clear style, to their own preaching's profit. This makes a good book to give to young people looking for a faith of their own.
