KIRKUS REVIEW

Sub-titled & Philosophy of the War, this is a somewhat idealistic approach to thoughtful consideration of a solution of world problems. From the premise that all nations are economically interdependent, and most nations culturally interlinked, he argues that here lies the basis for world union, even though it means a sacrifice of sovereigy. A new form of League of Nations, with police authority, rooted in matters of common concern and interest. erman oc not attempt to plot a program; he merely poes a problem and a solution. There is nothing world shaking, nothing very original in this, but it is obviously motivated by a sincere hope that nations will learn to live and work together for a better world, without th danger of each generation facing its own world war. A light book, with a real message and challenge.
