With considerable waste wordage, not to mention misspent emotionalism, this tells of the brothers Kimberley, Brian and Buzzy, and their undoing at the hands of a woman. Traveling through India, Brian, a musician, is fascinated by a woman who shares his compartment, not knowing she is the notorious Vivian Welles, who has ruined many, including his brother. Meeting her again, this time as Daphne Wingard, he takes her to live with him, ""unmolested"", and is later part of the tragedy involving all three of Returning as yet another identity, she repays her debt in part- and disappears....The recourse to India's metaphysics, vibrations and visions, yoga and Karma, do not distinguish this from what is basically lush, recalling, in some measure, The Garden of Allah. The publishers are giving it extensive support.
