KIRKUS REVIEW

That mad mystery mind plots another plot within a plot in a complex concoction of jewels, a suit of chain mail armor, gangsters, and the science of ""dynamic physiogonomy"". The plots are (a) the murder of a Senator, the theft of the emerald necklace -- Cleopatra's tears -- in Paris -- with young Yohoten Brockerville out to solve both to land a newspaper job: (b) four desperadoes on an island plus a Sheriff. It all ties together but we don't know how.
